China going hardcore to cure internet addiction

Bet the US has more obese people. But, we can't get people to go to fat camps, so I guess we'll never have it.
You may have more obese people but the UK is more likely to interfere with theirs.
Well, unless the US fat people are terrorists or something?
Some of them terrorize me, does that count? Can we throw 'em in Guantanamo for that?
The Ocean might cause a problem there... I guess once we got them to Miami, we could float them the extra 90 miles.

And while this is a weird way to handle it, taking care of internet addiction is actually a good thing. There are just too many people addicted to the internet, where it's actually interfering with their work and/or education, and some of these people post at MR.

Somehow I can think of some better remedies for internet addiction... ones that don't involve shock treatment....
For instance, taking away their computer maybe?
or better yet, set them loose in the jungle and let them try to survive.

Gee... China wants to "cure" its populace of "abusing" a tool of communication and education that is very difficult for the government to control. How caring of them.

Well lots of Americans are ashamed to be American.
You just put more negative feelings towards negative stories involving China. Do you honestly think that weird things don't happen in the US or other "Western" countries? In fact, I think that there are many things weirder than this, and it all happens in Western countries.
And besides, Singapore seems like a nice place. I have a few friends from Singapore.
