My Chinao iPad 2 case came in today. I ordered it in textured brown (even though my iPhone 4 pics show it as a dark almost black). So far I am really liking this case. It resembles the official OEM case from apple on the iPad 1. Let me know if you have any questions.

Flap

Is the flap the keeps the ipad tucked in big enough to hold it in?

Aso The sides are very thin, do they stay straight in standing position?

Do you think the cutout in the back to hold the cover in stand mode will stay flat after long use? I feel like its gonna stay bent when after months use

Im also looking into getting this color.

I just received the new embossed leather iPad2 case. This case is just as well made as synthetic case. Not sure what the moderators of this forum have against this case, but I must say it is the best one that I have bought to date. I have purchased many of the cases reviewed on this forum and still went back to my original synthetic case. I purchased this new one because I wanted a case with the sleep function. This one has it and it works great. Hopefully, the moderators will let this review go through so others will be able to try it out as well. If you want a soft leather case go for the synthetic, if you want a stiffer sturdier case go for the leather one. The leather case holds the iPad in place much better than the synthetic case. My ipad does not move at all in this case. Personally, I think the leather case will better protect my iPad, plus it looks cool.

I love how this case looks, except for one thing - the flap on the back, it leaves this huge gaping hole, exposing the back of the iPad. It really bothers me that they did not do the original flap design of the Apple case, where the iPad's rear is fully shielded.

I think the fact that it would sit flat and not rock is great, The back really isnt exposed as for as scratching since the case wouldnt allow contact with anything.
