Do you think Chinese New Year will sow down the production of iMacs?

Starts feb 10 ends feb 15

Well, for a few days it might, but how much this would affect the full volume of production is something only Hon Hai / Foxconn would know. And it's not like this is an event happening for the first time. It has been CNY a few times in the past.

I lived in china for several years, I can honestly say the country shuts down for 10 days minimum. I'm talking manufacturing + shipping.

That being said my Mac has been in processing stage for 27 days

Ouch!!!

Most companies will shut from 9 to 15. It is almost universal, but some keep working (things like power companies etc have to). Not really sure whether Apples suppliers will keep working, I think at least some will shut, so it will effect production a little.

No, at least 15 days and shipping not included. HaHa..

this is correct (I live in HK). apple and foxconn are massive companies, i think they will have a smaller workforce, but not a completely closed manufacturing process.
