Hi all,
I was hoping to get some advice - somehow I have a very small chip the glossy coating of my Macbook screen. I took the notebook into an Apple store and the very un-helpful technician told me that the oils from my fingers on the keys was slowly corroding the screen. Anyhow, the notebook is only 8 months old and the chip is directly in my line of sight - it is driving me crazy!
It is very small and shallow - if I run a cloth over the screen I can just barely detect the indentation of the chip. My question is whether there is any way to repair it without replacing the entire screen. The Apple store said that it was not covered under Applecare, so I am at a loss. Would something like IceCreme for Ipod screens work on a glossy coating?
Thanks!
Andy
