this only seems to happen at work. but if the AC power is interrupted, unplugged or plugged in, the powerbook does one of a couple of things:

Loses sound control completely, no alerts, itunes does nothing when you hit play, no sound, and the counter doesnt advance.

will not hibernate, this happens when I try to leave for the day. it just stays on with the lid closed indefinatly.

phantom shutdowns, when closing lid for hibernate, it powers off.

only remedy is restart, or searching around in terminal for the stalled process and restarting it.

is this normal? like I said it only seems to do it at work, and my ibook600 never did this.

should I be calling apple and bitching?
 
wait, its the stupid hibernate issue. not every service restarted correctly.

could this still be a dirty power issue?
