Choic between 2 iMacs 21'

Just ordered no 1 in refurb over no 2. Almost same price. I have moderate video editing needs. Does it look an OK choice, or should I have gone for the double upgrade with 16 RAM on earlier model? Will I "survive" with 8 RAM?

1) 2013 21' 8GB 2.9ghz Fusion £1,150
2) 2012 21' 16GB 2.7ghz Fusion £1,230
