Wasn't sure where to post this.

Im looking at Philips Hues. I see that there are "White and Colour Ambience" and also just "White Ambience"

Might be a stupid question but the wording on the descriptions is confusing me. The White and Colour Ambience seems like the best choice, but does this also offer the full range of whites that the White Ambience bulbs offer?

Thanks

Yes. Ambience can do the range from 2400K to 6000K or something. Color bulbs can do that plus the full range of color. The regular white bulbs are 2700K or something like that.

You might want to consider the LIFX bulbs. They'll be $20 off Black Friday. They are brighter and don't require a hub. I have Hue and LIFX bulbs. I won't be buying anymore Hue. Nothing against them. They were my first smart bulbs since they were the first to work with Siri. But I switched to LIFX when they became HomeKit certified and haven't looked back.

But specifically to Hue, the color + white ambiance offers the full color and white range in app. This is in contrast to the regular white bulbs that only have one color temp and can only be dimmed.
