Choosing a backup restore time iphone 4

Hi guys

I've been googling and searching around for a solution to choosing a specific time for backup on iphone 4. There may be solutions already but i am not completely sure.

I accidentally deleted some of my texts and then to get it back i synced it with itunes with resulted in overriding my old backup.

Now my question is, if i choose to restore, can i choose to restore back to the time before that old backup was overrided so i can still have my text messages resynced on my iphone 4?

It would depend on how many back up copies your iTunes has, sometimes it over-writes over a back up and sometimes it creates a new one.

If your iTunes over wrote your back-up, then No you do what your asking, but if it happens to have another copy with an earlier date and time, then Yes.
