So I'm trying to decide which graphics card would be best for my Mac Pro. I am looking for one that can run all aspects of Final Cut Studio...Fluently...

I'm deciding between the following options:

NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB (Two dual-link DVI)

OR

2 x ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB

Thoughts?

Thanks very much!!

Do you need to run more than 2 screens? 2 ATi's will only enable the use of 4 screens, not better graphics.

If you only need 2 screens max, then 1 8800GT, it beats the 2600 hands down, over 200% faster.

I'm only getting two screens to start... what would it take to upgrade to 3 in the future? Could I just add another video card, or does that not work... Sorry, not very knowledgeable on the video cards...

THANKS!

You can just add another video card.

Nvidias do not support 10/12/16-bit rendering in Color, so if you really want "all aspects", pro choise is once again no choise...
