Ok I must say that my first choice is Java at the moment, I really like the fact that is supported by apple. But all of them are interest me and I wanted some opinions.

I am starting with Java and MySQL. So database programming is my main requirement, from there on 3d and 2d graphics and music are areas which I would like to work. These are the areas that interest me more.

I am concerned how these options work in MACOS. I experienced problems with MONO and GTK# and Python 2.6 , crashes mainly. Jyhton I heard can be very slow and does not support fully python libraries but It blends very well with Java libraries. Ironpython is a mistery , but I have heard it needs some work to be complete. Java is abit more complex than I would like with its approach. Python is quite easy but I am not impressed by its libraries and especially the documentation.

As you can see I am mainly interested in Cross Platform and the areas I mentioned. I will be making programs for UBUNTU, MACOS and Windows.

Also I want some info on JAVA 3d , I tried some example jars and they worked , some others did not even start. Does it work correctly , does it have any issues?

Also , how well JAVA and MySQL behave in MACOS ?
