Choosing....

A friend of mine doesn't know which Air he should by.

First of all just let me say that he uses the computer to do web browsing, word processing and maintaining is website.

He likes to have a machine that will last long.

He (and I completelly agree with him) loves the 11'' screen.

I do not know why we even like it more than the 13''.

However please help him choose.

Here are the alternatives:

MBA 11'' , 8 GB RAM, i7 2.0Ghz, 256 GB SSD

MBA 13'' , 8 GB RAM , i7 2.0 Ghz , 256 GB SSD

The only difference is screen size.....

Recomendations ?

You already made the decision

I bought the 13/8gig/256 for the screen size. It seems like you are leaning towards the 11 in screen(Nice machine). Go with what your gut says. You will be happy.

Yeah, if he really wants the 11" it makes sense to stick with that model. Personally I like the 13", the bezel on the 11" was a bit too much for me. It may actually be the same amount of bezel space but it feels like too much compared to the 11" screen imo.

I do the same... but hook it to a screen and keyboard when I need to do real site work...

Remember that the 13" model also has longer battery life than the 11" (~7 hours vs ~5 hours).

Also the 2.0Ghz i7 option seems kinda unnecessary for web browsing, word processing, and website maintenance.

The battery life was the final decision maker for me. Plus, the larger screen makes it easier to work on.
