Choppy Playback

I have converted a avi movie 3ivx D4 4.5 codec into SVCD

But whenever I make a disk I get really choppy playback of the movie, both on Mac PC And a Standard DVD player.

Has anyone used this app, and if so could you give me some advise as to where i am going wrong.
