I have just made my first dashboard widget, a Christmas Countdown, it does what it says really, counts down to December 25th and sends you an alert saying merry christmas.

Here is a screenshot:

Please feel free to download it, give it a try and tell me how it could be improved.
You can download it from http://djmckee.co.uk/xmascountdown/index.html

Thanks :)

what do you think?

I too just created a Christmas countdown widget for 2010. I was going to upload it to apple but the form was a pain so I didn't bother. You can download it directly here or check out my homepage where I will be uploading tons of scripts and useful applets. Please let me know what you think. I'm always interested in feedback.

I loved yours by the way. Thanks for sharing it with us. God Bless.

No, it's September 12th. I declare jihad on people who try to start the holidays this early.

+1.

Christmas should not be mentioned at all until the day after Thanksgiving. Pretty soon stores will just be keeping all the Christmas **** out year round.

Yep, Christmas is one big cash cow to the stores :D

We've already got the Christmas food ads/Christmas offers around here in the UK

Man christmas just keeps expanding its air time. Well Steve Jobs did say the perfect gift for the holiday season for the holiday season meaning Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, ect.
