Halfway down this article there is a reference to an ad with Christopher Reeve and Apple that supposedly "flopped." By "flopped," is the writer referring to an old ad that was an advertising bust, or did somebody pull the plug on a potential ad this year? If it is the latter, we may see something down the road. But if it is the former... I'll take my flaming and I'll take it like a man.
 
It's possible that Apple ran a Think Different ad featuring Christopher Reeve at some point that I don't remember, but that was probably a mistaken reference to the Nuveen Investments ad in 2000 that showed Christopher Reeve walking to accept an award. Although I don't remember that one flopping--it was generally in the top ten that year, though as always the top spots were dominated by really, really stupid stuff.

(Interesting world we live in where we pay attention to the overall popularity of ads during a sporting event.)
