Chrome and the "Download Stack"

I can't seem to find a fix for this, so maybe it doesn't exist but here we go anyways...

When I download files from Safari the icon for the files appears normally like this

However when I do it from Chrome, it looks like this

So is there a way to fix it? I know it's a small thing, but it really bugs me.

Right-click on the Downloads folder and select Display as: Folder
That way, your icon won't change to reflect the first item in the folder.
