Chrome Icon on Dock Changes

I changed the Chrome icon from the default one. The problem is every time Chrome updates, the icon changes back to the original plain icon. I changed it the manual way of right-clicking the Chrome app. --> Get Info. --> Highlighting the top left icon. --> And pasting the new icon with Cmd + v.

Let me know how I can make the icon stay that way. I'm getting tired of going through that process every time the icon resets to the original one.
