If you're using Safari and have a Synology NAS there's an excellent extension called Download Station that's worth a look at.

It can offload downloads, YouTube videos and Magnet Torrents to your Synology NAS. As easy as a right click.

I have no connection to the program or author, just thought it was a really handy extension.

Thanks blueroom, already downloaded, will check tonight how it works although it looks awesome.

I also like FAQ section:

How are my username and password stored?
This extension needs your DSM username and password to connect to your NAS. It depends on your browser how they are stored. The Safari version of this extension stores all your settings in your OS X keychain. This is a secure and encrypted storage space.

Google Chrome unfortunately doesn't have an encrypted place to store your settings. The Chrome version saves your settings in a storage area for extensions where they can only be accessed by this extension. As soon as Google adds an encrypted storage space, the extension will be updated to use is.

Can I use 2-factor authentication?
No, 2-factor authentication is not supported by this extension. Instead you could create a separate account without 2-factor authentication for this extension that has only permissions for the Download Station package and your default downloads destination folder.

Interesting detail about password storage. I exculsivily use Safari and haven't seen a need to use Chrome although I used to use Chrome when I ran Windows.
