Hello,

i was wondering if anyone knew what these were below my google search bar ... (image below) ...

never used to be their, can't find anything in chrome pref to remove them.

That's a "speed dial" for frequently-visited sites that are not in your bookmarks. That page is called the "new tab page" if you were to look in the settings of Chrome.

That is normal and is your most visited sites. It comes up when you open a new, blank tab. If you don't like it there is an extension here that will get rid of them.
