For those of you with the Apple high performance switchable HD adapters, I found Google turns on High Perf. when starting Chrome. Notably the only Apple applications I know of that do that are Aperture and iPhoto, or at least thats all that do in my test environment.
I first noticed this when I started Chrome, my Desktop background changed slightly, a little cooler white balance, not much. This tells me that the Yosemite graphics drivers are backward compatible, possibly untouched.
