I picked up a Chromecast yesterday because $13 AFTER tax was too hard to pass up. Now that the netflix promo is dead, I'm not so sure I wouldn't just spend the extra $15 and get a Roku, but that's beside the point.
Casting is working great from my MacBook running 10.8.4, but for some reason my iMac just will not work with it. It is running 10.7.5. The Chromecast setup app sees it, but Chrome just refuses to, which renders it useless from that computer. Google says OS X 10.7 is supported, so that shouldn't be the problem. Has anyone else run into this?
On a side note, so far it works pretty well. The Netflix app on my iPad already works with it wonderfully, although not quite as nicely as the Android app, since that puts the controls right on the lock screen.
