Hi,

I am using Chronosync to back up my late 2013 retina MBP operating under 10.9.2. Chronosync works normally if the computer is on. Also, I am able back-up from a sleep if the drive is pre-mounted. However, if the computer is sleeping and the drive is not pre-mounted I get an error message from the Mac that "There was an error connecting to the server Servername". This is a new behavior.

I have attempted to change the connection to the server from SMB://servername to cifs://servername. But this has not worked.

Any thoughts on how to correct this error.

Cheers,

Solved

Hi All,

I finally came up with a solution to my problem. The issue had to do with Keychain for my shared drive and access control. In the info section, I set up the drive to "allow all application to access this item".

Hope this solution helps others.
