I've recently bought Chronosync 4.2.1. but for some reason it won't archive files deleted on the source drive.
In the "Setup" tab I've enabled "Archive replaced files" and a folder named "_Archived items" has been created on the backup drive, but the folder I deleted on the source drive is still there on the backup drive. Shouldn't it simply be moved over to the _Archived items folder?
Also, why is such a process taking so long? I've read other postings here complaining about Chronosync taking ages to analyze etc. but I'm not sure if that's due to a certain configuration or something I might have missed.
UPDATE:
Never mind, I figured it out myself...
Apparently only files that have been edited/resaved have their old versions moved over to the _Archived items folder while files that have been deleted stay where they are.
That is unless you enable "Synchronize deletions" in which case you get to choose what to do with them (moving them over to the _Archived items folder is one option) -see screenshot below. However, I don't know if these files get purged at some time or not.
I'd still like to know why backing up is so slow (because Chronosync takes forever to analyze files) and if there's a way to make it go faster?
