Anyone use this excellent (and Windows-esque) piece of software on Mavericks? I have been and it appears to work for a short while before stopping, and then requiring a restart of the software to function again.

Confirmed on 3 separate macs running Mavericks.

Cheers

I have been using the built-in window snapping feature of BetterTouchTool forever. BTT works fine on 10.9 and it's free.

I'm sure the App Developer will have to update the App in order for it to work properly.

Yes, I've noticed it too. Ptherwise a great tool, it stops working on 10.9 and I have to restart it. It's been like this for the past few DPs, but it's an app issue, not OSX.

Didn't know about the Finder CPU usage though. Might have to try out BetterTouchTool

EDIT: BetterTouchTool working pretty great so far. Only thing I don't like is that when you un-snap it, it doesn't return to it's original size but stays "big"

Has anyone tried Hyperdock

Has anyone tried hyper dock to mimic Windows 8 auto peek ?

Also. not affiliated with the author but feel free to throw him a few bucks. Good utilities like BTT are hard to find and he really updates it a lot. See the "About" button:

Hey, you're right. Office apps will snap correctly to the edge(s) but won't snap back to their original. I never do this though. :)

Thanks for the input all.

I am aware the app needs to be updated and that this is part of beta testing.

Also have the same issue, Cinch using 50% of CPU via Finder, and also not working after a few minutes of use without restarting the program. I guess they will update it when Mavericks actually releases to the public.

It also for causes the finder and window server to use about 50% CPU each.
WHOAH I've had this problem for a month… because of an app that I didn't even use (now I use WindowTidy)

Thank you!! It was ridiculous! I had to keep the Terminal open to do killall Finder every time I clicked on the desktop, it literally woke me up at night!
