Amadora (Portugal)
Hello:
We are a portuguese non-profit organization and we're producing our first film festival in 2014. Our main goal is to create something different, in a way that everyone can participate in several stages. So, if you please, we invite you to visit our page in facebook and see our ideas and what you can do.

Been on your web page. Little bit puzzled. What do you mean by different?
Enter video? Come and help?
As the organiser, what would you like to happen?.

Hello daybreak:
Thank you for your feedback. We intend to do a much more open community festival, taking people to participate by giving their opinion on what they like to see done. We are planning to join amateur filmmakers and professional ones in a way that opinions can be changed. We like people to enter videos as we saw there are any talented persons around the globe, so we want to give them screen time.
As organizers, we would like to see people expressing themselves through films, creating. :).
I belive this is more like an teaser, but we are putting together this festival. After all, it's our first time as well. Even being experienced in cinema doesn't make us know all.

Create a video
Cine-Amador(a) isn't just a 10 day film festival. It's also a place where people have the chance to develope skills during one year. To do so, we propose an series of iniciatives which we like everybody to be involved.
He're is our first idea:
a maximum 20 second video related with Cine-Amador(a). Be creative. Your work will be online posted.
Send by wetransfer to filmes@cine-reactor24i.com.

He's spamming this all over the internet. And I'm going to be honest - I'm not impressed with all the information you're giving us so far - If I had a film, I wouldn't submit it in fear of what may happen to it. Your website could be better, and honestly, Facebook is such a horrible place to redirect people to find out more for the starting point.

1) You need a website. A GOOD website. Doesn't have to be fancy, but it has to be organized and be informative. Here are a few examples of film festival sites:

Slamdance - http://www.slamdance.com
Method Fest - http://www.methodfest.com
Awareness - http://www.awarenessfestival.org

2) The people who actually make GOOD work worth seeing wouldn't submit without proper paperwork to look at. These are the ones from Sundance:

FAQ:
http://www.sundance.org/pdf/submissions/2013_Submissions_FAQ.pdf

Rules:
http://www.sundance.org/pdf/submissions/2013_Submissions_Rules.pdf

3) Organizers don't go spamming all over the internet. They pay for advertising in newspapers, they send flyers to colleges/universities that have film/drama related classes. Once you get the audience, then social media becomes more useful.

Hi Jessica.
Thank you for your comment. As we stated we are organizing this for the first time and we do know what we want. Maybe sometimes things don't go too fast as we wish. Never the less we try to make things as clear as we can.
Our non-profit organization website is still in portuguese only. We trying to get it in english as well. Anyone can visit it and, at least see a bit of what we have been doing these last 3 years:

Every work we do is well identified as well as the crew, actors and others.

We are not accepting submissions yet. We just saying filmmakers to create and show things. We established some rules that can be downloaded through the links in mediafire in our posts. We won't steal anyone's work if you see the rules. That's not what we want.

We have also in a more traditional way spread our film festival. We are not 'spamming all over internet'. We are passing information like any business or event would do. Otherwise, how would people know us? We care that everyone has a chance to know us.
Once again thank you very much for your care and ideas. They are going to be usefull to improve our work.
