Hi, I bought an ACD 30" a few months ago and I've used it on and off for max 2-5 minutes to test old macs, but now I wanted to implement it into my main setup and realised that it has one big issue. When using it ( DVI / original miniDP adapted ) after it properly heats up the display just turns on and off randomly for a few times, when I turn it back on or of it just switches back and forth very erratically, it doesn't have a pattern or anything, but it just won't stay on. What could be the cause?

The power brick has a connection issue google it, it can be fixed The 30" has an issue with the power button on the side failing. It was rumored you can fix it with a magnet. Google it The good news is it is not the screen itself but peripherals.

I've found 2 guides on EEVBlogs about changing capacitors, but nothing about the magnet, could you link me some guides? There is kind of no knowledge as I've seen more threads with people having issues with the 30" ACD and close to no replies...

This is because most people just bought another power adapter (it's pricey for what you actually get from an ACD30 nowadays) or retired the display.
