Anyone notice that if you are connected to an ACD monitor with your macbook air (may be true for other laptops as well)....

if you remove the magsafe power supply.... or accidentally knock into it... the computer "shuts down" (or goes to sleep) ?

I am not sure this is a new thing for the new MBA... or if this is something with Lion.... anyone else experience this?

That's what happens with mine...

Too bad. I was planning on unplugging the magsafe cord every once in a while to let the battery run down, if I wasn't using the computer by itself. I have a 2011 MBA 11 i7, and the 24" ACD.

There is an update that was just put out 2 hours ago for the MBA via concern with the ACD. Maybe this will address the issue?
