Cinema Display to HDMI Connection

Hello everybody,

I just got an Apple Cinema Display for free I'm prestine condition. I have an early 2011 15" MacBook Pro that works perfectly with it, however, I'm looking for a way to use my work laptop with the monitor as well. The problem is my work laptop only has an HDMI port, and I can't find am adapter that will allow me to convert the mini displayport cable from the monitor into a HDMI port on the laptop.

Any suggestions?

I'm an early 2011 MBP 15" user.

You can get a thunderbolt dock with a hdmi output. The gen 1/2 thunderbolt docks should be less expensive now compared to their heydays. Try to get a thunderbolt dock which supports the gen 1/2 thunderbolt ports together with USB C. I remember seeing one (gen 1/2 tb dock with hdmi and USB C) on Amazon about two months back, retailing at around $200.
