Cinema Display to iMac as second monitor?

Hi friends ,

I've found a nice but old apple cinema display from 2000 at our loft. Now I want to use it with my iMac from 2009 as a second monitor. Which cable do I have to buy to connect both? I have a mini display port input at my iMac.

VGA

I got the DVI one and works fine. So you can make a DVI cable work with the mini-display port.
