Hello,

I have a 27" Cinema Display (?)... the kind with three USB ports, a firewire port, a thunderbolt port, and an ethernet port.

For the past few months, it wouldn't wake up without unplugging it from the wall and back in again a few times. Now that doesn't seem to work at all.

I swapped power cords and it is not that. Do you think there could be anything that is relatively easy to fix?

Thank you,
R

Thunderbolt Display, if it has Thunderbolt on it.

One thing you can try, if you have access to a Thunderbolt cable - plug the display into your computer using a Thunderbolt cable from the computer to the Thunderbolt port on the display (i.e. ignore the built-in Thunderbolt cable). If it's working properly that way, it's the built-in cable and you can continue using it like that (Assuming you don't need the pass-through Thunderbolt port).

Beyond that I wouldn't sink any funds into it. Frankly I wouldn't BUY a Thunderbolt cable until you're sure it would help; hopefully you have one or can borrow one for the test.
