Cinema HD Display 30" won't work with my Mac Pro 6

Hello

Can anyone help me troubleshoot a problem i have been having with my Cinema HD 30"?

When my Cinema is connected to my Mac Pro 6 (OS 10.10.5) when it is turned on the screen doesn't turn on, it goes black after a short period of time. Once turned on the apple logo and loading bar appears however it is doubled up on the screen. After a few seconds the screen goes black. However the Mac Pro 6 is still turned on and the screens power light is still on. So i check all of the cables and usb ports and they are all functioning properly. So i tried my screen on my Mac Mini late 2012 and the screen functions properly.Has anyone come across this problem and know the fix? Any help would be much appreciated.

Are your macs running the same OS?

I found the change to Yosemite on the cMP a little odd on my old 30"ACD initially.
It took a lot longer to fully display.
