Here is a hypothetical question

Using an Imac g5 rev B 2.0 ghz and screen spanning doctor, would it be possible to extend desktop to a second display at 1600x1200 and run a cintiq 21ux at native res?

I found a faq on the wacom site :
http://www.wacom.com/faqs/knowledge_search.cfm?id=345

In the article it says it won't work properly, but I don't think they're acknowloding the existence of the screen spanning doctor. The Imac uses a radeon 9600.

does anyone think this will work?

Thanks

I've used a 21" CRT at 2048 x 1536 on my iMac G5 with the screen spanning hack. That was running the external at 1600 x 1200 @ 75 Hz.

oh jeeze so it can drive the res up pretty high
It tops out at the maximum output of VGA. (2048 x 1536)

Mind you this was a 5 year old monitor. It took some time even with the manuals to find the right refresh rate for each resolution.
