Sitting down facing front.
I'm doing some serious research before jumping into the HomeKit camera pool. Or should I say pond, because the pickings are scarce. Even so, it's pretty difficult to get consistent info on what works with what. I'm trying to decide between the Netatmo and Logitech offerings, leaning toward Logi.

At the moment I'm confused about which version of the Circle 2 will work, not because nobody explicitly states that HomeKit only supports wired powered cameras - that much is clear. But one guy on iDB reviewed the Circle 2, and in his video he said there's a mount to give the battery version a wired power connection, but he doesn't say whether that allows it to work with HomeKit.

Are the two versions of the Circle 2 exactly the same, but one comes with a battery attachment and the other a cable? Does the cable add-on make it HomeKit compatible?

I seem to remember reading somewhere that there are limitations with the wireless Circle 2 but I have the wired circle 2 and it works perfectly with HomeKit and my Apple Watch. It also works really well with the Alexa Show.
