Circus ponies notebook

I see Circus Ponies Notebook is now on the IPad and I am considering moving to this application for my teaching and consulting work. I would welcome comments from anyone who has actually used the app on the iPad. How is synching with a computer and the full version of the program?

Given the price, I don't want to buy on a whim like I do most of the apps I use.

I haven't used it, but the reviews say there are some issues with compatibility with the desktop files under certain circumstances

It's a bit to expensive, don't you think? What's makes it so much better or different from all the other note book apps?
