Citrix Web Remote Access (Juniper)

Sometimes I work from home and use OSX (10.6.8 / 10.7) to connect to work.

I logon through a website and click a link which boots a Java client. This then boots into a windows desktop
It is a virtual desktop solution from citrix and gives you a Microsoft windows desktop through the bowser.

The Issue:

If this is performed on a windows machine it goes completley full screen whereas though OSX the menu bar is always present and hinders some productivity.

Any ideas?

Have you tried a different product. If you're looking to access a windows box, you can try http://www.microsoft.com/mac/remote-desktop-client or Logmein (its free for personal use) or TeamViewer

I use gotomypc but that's not free

its not a product as such..

the access is provided by the company i work for

Oh ok, so you're locked into use that product.

Well then the only option I see is change the resolution to something lower on the target machine so that it does not consume the entire screen of your machine.
