Civilization iPad

Hi all,

Just wondering if any one knows of a decent Civilization game on the iPad. I've looked around and found Civilization Revolution 2 but I don't know anything about it; if it's made by the Civ people or if it's any good.

I know nothing about Civ games, only that my friends have told me it's awesome. I don't have much time to play games on my computer, but I have the iPad when travelling. Also, is Rome similar in any way/good?

I'm looking to get some good games for travelling

The existing two Civilization games (Civilazation Revolution, Civilization Revolution 2) haven't been updated for ages (2013,2015) and are really buggy. Please also look at the App Store reviews.

If you hate in-app-purchases like I do I can suggest you a few nice alternatives but these are more like Age of Empire 2 - Autumn Dynasty Warlords (also last updated Feb. '15) or Command & Conquer kind of games like Machines at War 3 RTS, Warfare Incorporated, MechCom 2 – 3D RTS, Z Steel Soldier, Land Air Sea Warfare (HD). See also my blog post here.
