Clamshell mode with ML Airplay not working on 2011 MBA

Hello,

I tried Mountain Lion's Airplay feature for syncing the desktop with an Apple TV display. This works without problems on my MBA 2011. However, after enabling the Apple TV, I would like to close the lid and work in clamshell mode. Does anybody have this working? No luck here.

I would appreciate any help.

So you can stream to your apple tv in clamshell mode on your MBA?

Are you on mains power while in clamshell? I need to be when I'm streaming to ATV.
