ok my macrumors amigos/amigas, im in a bit of a pickle. i just bought this kick ass new display, 20 inches 1680x1050 for only $120.00! its a really good deal you guys should check it out... http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicat...mc=Email-_-WebletMain-_-WEBLET03ORDER-_-Deals

anyhooser, i followed the instructions for clamshell mode and i still cant get it to work. i have a wireless logitech mouse and keyboard, and i cant make them wakeup the computer when it's closed. i think i tricked it into working once or twice but i cant get it to work consistently. any help would be MOST GOOD

I'm guessing you made sure the power was plugged into the macbook?

I made the mistake of not plugging the magsafe in and trying to run the macbook in clamshell mode when I first got my LCD tv. It would turn on for a second and then promptly turn back off. Needless to say, it confounded me for a bit.

yes, the power is plugged in

i finally got it!!! for some reason it takes the computer about 30 seconds to recognize the wireless keyboard and mouse and wake up

now i have another problem, the monitor restarts itself every few minutes, anyone know why?

thanks for the help guys! i actually just did the mini dp adapter firmware update and it fixed my problem! the reason i didnt see that update pop up before is because it only comes up when you have the adapter plugged in
