iPod touch Clarification about iPod Touch Price (tax)

I have a friend in US that will be coming back soon and I asked him to buy me an iPod Touch 32GB from an Apple Store.

So will he have to pay 299$? Or is there some tax, VAT or something that has to be paid too?

They don't know. I ordered within 30 minutes of the Online store being up and my delivery date is September 10th. So September 10th is going to be the latest I'll get it. It could be in stores as early as the 8th. The West Coast will probably get them sooner.

If your friend will be driving from NY->DC the best place to stop and shop is Delaware: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sales_taxes_in_the_United_States#Delaware

No sales tax.

if your friend is not a geek...

..make sure he asks for the new one that has the cameras (easier thing to ID), or else there could be a possibility that you might end up w/ last year's model...
