Clarification on bricking.

I am looking for some clarification on what exactly bricks your phone. I have my on 1.0.2 hacked just extra apps. not unlocked to run on other carriers. If i update to 1.1.1 will I be bricked or just have my apps wiped out? Will restoring return it to jail aka can't be bricked ? I need some clarification. Where is apple statement on the bricking? this is help to everyone who is currently confused.

Bricking happens when you upgrade to 1.1.1 and you had 1.0.2 unlocked using AnySIM 1.0x or iUnlock. Older AnySIM/iUnlock corrupts the seczone resulting in the dreaded 0049 IMEI when trying to upgrade to 1.1.1.

Did you use AnySIM or iUnlock? Those will brick you.
