I posted a week ago that when I tried to check my Java version on my mac, it said I needed Java Runtime. A macrumors member replied that if I upgraded from snow leopard, then I may still have java. Yes, the trojan is freaking me out, but i need closure. My question is, When you go from Snow Leopard to Lion, does it remove java?

I also visited a java tester website that simply tells you what version your running, and it said that I was missing a plug-in, does that mean I'm Java free?

All that means is that you don't have Java enabled on your browser. Just make sure that you are up to date with the patches from Apple and you will be fine. The latest release is supposed to remove it if you have it.

I've already tried updating, and there's no update available.
