Well this was unexpected…

In addition, the first Nehalem micro-architecture using action Clarksfield quad-core processors, will also be listed in the third quarter 2009, the use of BGA package, a total of three listed at the beginning of the pulse, including the 1.6GHz, 1.73 and XE versions of the 2.0GHz, built-in 6MB, 8MB, and 8MB L3 Cache, support for Hyper-Threading technology, the highest TDP to 35W, priced at 1000 per unit cost of $ 364, $ 546 and $ 1054 U.S. dollars.
I still don't expect the MacBook Pro to have Clarksfield though, due to the low GHz. But then again they did it with the Mac Pro, so maybe it's possible.

Also this adds weight to the rumor that the notebooks will go Nehalem in November.

Not totally unexpected, given Intel's previous form? link ;)
I guess we still have hope to see something a little earlier, in whichever incarnation comes first, for the MBP :)

We're still waiting for Intel to clarify about Clarksfield/Arrandale and timings presumably, beyond the articles saying they're selling Clarksfield in 3Q 09 (ish July-September) - Seeing as Apple usually jumps the official gun, does that mean Apple gets to demo an Arrandale before it's more officially announced, or will we see a correct date and chip details given by Intel before Apple announces something? (Surely a Nehalem based MBP might be a nice accompanying laptop to show off 10.6's release come the fall, alongside the Mac Pro)
