I'll try and make this as short as possible. When we updated my girlfriend's G4 Powerbook to 10.4 a while back Classic stopped working (but she didn't need it at the time so it wasn't an issue.) Then she needed to use Movie Magic Budgeting in Classic so we did an archive and install of OS 10.4 and Classic started working. Then I did something stupid.

I went and installed Movie Magic Budgeting 5.2. I realized after I installed it that I should have installed Version 5.6, so I did.

It turns out if you install the newer version over the old one it creates a problem with Movie Magic 5.6 not recognizing 5.6 files, it only recognizes 5.2 files. (You're supposed to uninstall 5.2 then install 5.6, but I did not reaize this.) So I can't open any 5.6 files in 5.6 like I should and when I save a newly created budget the file that appears has the 5.2 icon instead of the 5.6 icon.

I've tried uninstalling both 5.2 and 5.6 with the uninstall option in each of the installers, but I keep getting a message that said not all files have been deleted. So I've searched and deleted everything I can find, including the preferences.

I've reinstalled just 5.6, but keep geting the same issue with the files. Also, when I check the prefernces, it seems like even though I've been installing only 5.6, the prefernce icon looks like it is for 5.2.

So I'm hoping someone here might have an idea as to what I can try.

Thanks
