Much greener pastures
Hmm. Something new. Nice idea, if only for curiosity value.

The only thing with old trailers is, nowadays they frequently look either corny or pedestrian. What I'd really like to see is "reimagined" versions of these trailers, created by some of the best talents today.

One thing I note in the "Doctor Zhivago" trailer, for instance, is that it relies on a narrator to tell you everything, rather than let a stylized intercutting of the scenes do the same thing in a much more subtle way. I'd really love to see somebody do "updated", modern-style trailers for films like these...similar perhaps to the promos we see for older films on stations like Cinemax and AMC, just longer and more complex.

Even so, putting old trailers on the Quicktime trailer page is pretty cool. Thanks, Apple.
