I've got a classic USB Apple keyboard here, the model before the flat alu keyboards.

The problem is that it doesn't work on one Windows PC. It works great on my Macs, on other PCs, just not this one. Facts:

  1. The offending computer runs Windows XP SP2.
  2. Said keyboard works fine on other Macs and PCs.
  3. It has worked on that computer months, but somehow not anymore.
  4. Works in BIOS, but not anymore as soon as Windows takes over.
  5. USB ports and peripherals attached to the ports work fine.
  6. Both of my new wired alu Apple keyboards, and every other keyboard I've tried work with that PC.
  7. I don't have any other classic USB Apple keyboard to test.

Any ideas?

Yeh, connect it to a Mac! Just joking. Kidding aside, I can't think what the problem is. If it was a bluetooth model then it might have been a driver thing. But being that it is a standard USB keyboard, there's is no reason why it works on one and not on the other. I know reinstalling SP2 is rather drastic and I can't guarantee that it will fix anything. But maybe Windows is just confused as to what a USB keyboard is.

Maybe search for a generic USB keyboard driver for windows. That may fix it.
