GET Mojave.jpg

There are increasing posts about sleep and shutdown issues after people having installed the "SUPPLEMENTAL" Mojave 10.14.6 upgrade

I strongly recommend doing a clean, virgin install of Mojave 10.14.6. to a spare drive to see if your issues are fixed

========================================

1. The first FULL installer release of 10.14.6 was 6.04 gb

2. Then came the Combo & Supplementary updates.

2.1 Since then there have been increasing posts regarding problems since
installing the Supplementary.

3. THEN . . came the update to 6.05gb FULL 10.14.6 full installer.

It seems to me that the Combo & Supplementary upgrades are now in the revised current 6.05gb installer. I used it to upgrade my Mac Pro. Absolutely no problems.

==========================

How to get the latest FULL installer.

1. Look in your Applications folder and if there are any " Install mac OS Mojave " apps in there . . . remove them.

2. Go to the App store : Search for "Mojave : If a page pops up look for a " GET " button probably at the top right of the page.

3. Hit that :"GET" button - you might have to try several times if the servers are busy.

4. After the 6.05gb Mojave FULL installer downloads - make a copy of it in a safe place for any future installations.

========================================
I don't mind the hassle of doing new installs of the 3rd. party apps I need.

A CLEAN, NEW install of a major Apple OS upgrade is going to tell you that if there are ANY subsequent POST-INSTALL problems .. it's Apples fault .. not any previously installed apps, kexts etc.

if you have had problems since the Supplementary, install the 6.05gb installer to a spare drive and see if the problems have gone away.

Does this make sense to anyone ? It does to me.
