I’m doing a clean install of Mojave. I want to restore some data files, but I don’t want to restore everything.
I have Time Machine backups.

I have two issues:
- The Library folder and
- the Other Files and Folders item.

M.A. insists that I restore the Library folder - all 40GB of it.
I really just wanted to restore my documents etc. Putting back the Library folder seems like I’ll be bringing a lot of unwanted history with me. Do I really need to do this? And why?

And the “Other Files and Folders” item is 0KB. So that’s nothing?

Thanks

Update - just restoring individual files from Time Machine without using M.A. and so far so good.
