I decided to reinstall Snow Leopard from an upgrade install to a clean install and it cleans up so much mess its unbelievable! It runs even faster (the speed Snow Leopard boasts) and irons out horribly annoying bugs like forgetting color profiles and volume settings. For anyone with issues apart from the dodgy exposé a clean install will do the trick!
