i want to be able to wipe my macbook pro and put a clean install of Yosemite on it. i found the site below and created the bootable image to install... the only thing I'm worried about is if i format the disk, will i also loose the 10.9 recovery? if i do loose that how do i make a 10.10 recovery incase i need to factory reset my macbook.

Also is Yosemite a full install or do i need 10.9 installed first then run the upgrade over the top of it?

because at the moment I've had my laptop 2 months (13-inch: 2.8GHz
with Retina display)... since the upgrade it feels like its slowed down a little bit (only a little...)

any help would be great!

thanks.
