As the title suggests, did a clean install on my rMBP Mid-2014 model and throughout the day, even with no incoming or outgoing messaging happening, just having the Messages app open it can easily constantly use 15% CPU, and then spike up to 100% for extended periods of time, enough so to turn the fans on full blast.

Quitting the app puts everything back to normal.

Average energy impact is 34.34 right now, but it was much higher before. It's technically in the background sitting idle right now, but you can see its using a lot of CPU right now.

Even worse today, average energy impact at 53.13. Fans are on, but its killing the battery when I'm not plugged in. Quitting it and my overall energy impact goes way down. Very very frustrating.
