Hi,

My iMac is about two years old now and has begin to grind and slow down to a halt on frequent occasions, so I've decided it's time to do a clean install of Snow Leopard and rebuild my machine from scratch.

I've already got kind of prepared in that I've made numerous back ups of my entire hard drive, and also have Time Machine backups up to date.

I'm planning to only restore my docs, music, videos, photos and apps from Time Machine, but I just wanted to check two things about restoring apps...

1. To restore applications from Time Machine, is it just a case of clicking on the application in the application folder and then clicking restore?

2. Does reinstalling applications in this way mean any problems are likely to be transferred back on to my clean mac or are they similar to doing clean installs?

Thanks in advance for any help!
